What We Do?

The preschool has 25 places per day for 3- 5 year olds. It provides a nutrition program, home liaison visits, transport, health, education, supported playgroup and personal development programs for the children and parents.

Koori Kindermanna Preschool operates 5 days per week, Monday, to Friday during NSW school terms.

Children are transported to Preschool each day. The bus collects children in the morning leaving at 8:30 am and drops them home again in the afternoon from 1:50 pm.

Programs

All our activities and experiences are planned to help your child prepare for school by:

  • Learning to sit and listen to a story
  • Looking after their belongings
  • Taking turns and sharing
  • Finding fun and enjoyment in learning

Other Services

Koori Kindermanna has direct links to the Aboriginal Educational Consultative Group (AECG), Community Health, Children Service Network, Department of Education Science and Training, the Community Development Employment Program, Primary and Secondary Schools and the local TAFE.

We believe in fostering a homely environment that is friendly and inviting for both children and parents.

It will be a safe place where all aspects of an individual child's development are catered for in stimulating and enjoyable ways, at appropriate levels and unaffected by discrimination based on gender, race, religion, socio-economic factors and additional needs.

We believe that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children have a right to quality education in a safe, familiar and stimulating environment, and understand that they have their own learning style and that this unique style needs to be considered and fostered.
